Engnet June Newsletter 2009

Tuesday, 9 June, 2009

Dear EngNet Visitor,

There have been some exciting changes and developments over the last month at EngNet. We are confident that these will benefit your company.

We Are Proud To Announce The Launch Of The New EngNet

The face of EngNet changed forever on 1st June, when our brand new online directory, redeveloped from the ground up, was launched. This has been a long time coming and after much effort and teamwork in the background, we have finally arrived. Some of the key changes are:

  • A vastly updated & improved search engine. The old version was on the cutting edge when we launched in 1998, but had fallen behind. The new version is intuitive and gets you to the information you want quickly and easily.
  • The admin console for your listing has been completely revamped and now allows full in view editing of your entire listing, including customised frame colour, logo and picture editing. We have already noticed a few of you utilizing the new console. Please note that certain features are not available to a free subscriber.
  • The old listings have been renamed plus others have been added. The listing type or bundle, as it will become known, will differ in features as well as how they are displayed in search results. The final details of the additional bundles are being worked out and will be available in the next few weeks. The bundle options will increase from the current 3 to approximately 15 with an option to suit all Companies.
  • Geo-location is currently being implemented and will become a reality in the coming weeks. An update on this feature will be announced next month.
In the future there will be additional modules that can be selected as add-on’s, such as, Video/Media Module, Used Equipment Module, Catalog Module, E-Commerce Module, Parts Search Module etc. Watch this space!

Mainline Media Exposure

We are pleased to announce that EngNet has entered into a contract with Prime Media, to run a campaign on their current affairs radio station 702 over the next 12 months starting from July.

EngNet is well established and known in the online market and it has been our goal for some time to expand our brand to other segments of the market. Our main goals with this campaign are to increase awareness of the brand and the EngNet Directory to source engineering related products and services, which will greatly benefit you and your company.

The campaign will be monitored and based on the results, further options will be considered.
