The AquaPump teams from Joburg and Durban did some good for their 67 minutes this Mandela Day. Mandela Day is celebrated every year on 18 July. It is a day that reminds us to give back to our communities. Both our Johannesburg and Durban branches celebrated this year, with our Joburg team heading to Logwood Village and our Durban team paying a visit to Mooi Hawens old age home.

 

Logwood Village is a place that provides holistic care to the intellectually disabled. Staff from AquaPump headed to the village for a day of indoor hockey with the residents. They also arranged for a Chip n Dip stand for lunch and provided the organisation with much-needed supplies.

 

The team from AquaPump in Durban headed to Mooi Hawens old age home in Amanzimtoti. They visited the residents and left a large box of toiletries and other supplies, plus boxes of biscuits as an extra treat.

 

All in all, it was a day well-spent. We would like to express our pride in both our teams for giving of their time to help out their fellow man.
