Ingersoll Rand, a global leader in industrial products and solutions, introduced four new language versions of its Ingersoll Rand products website – French, German, Italian and Spanish – to accommodate the needs of Ingersoll Rand’s growing European audience. The addition of these languages brings the site’s total language count to 11, including English, Korean, Japanese, Mandarin, Portuguese, Latin American Spanish, Simplified Chinese, French, German, Italian and Spain Spanish.

Ingersoll Rand’s European website visitors are now able to browse through product information, find local distributors and contact company representatives in their own language.

“By localizing our website into the four main European languages, we reach a broader audience within our region, as well as build confidence and strong relationships because they can interact with Ingersoll Rand in a more user-friendly manner through their native language,” said Marta Olszewska, web marketing specialist for Ingersoll Rand.

Additionally, Ingersoll Rand optimized the website for searching in local languages, which will provide more targeted search results in the appropriate local language when searching through popular search engines such as Google, Bing and Yahoo.

“While localized websites will without a doubt improve our customers’ online experience, optimizing the sites with locally used keywords will help our customers find us in local search engines, which will also ensure higher visibility of our brand across all markets,” Olszewska added.

The company is now preparing for the second phase of the translation project that includes the launch of additional languages by the end of 2012.
