AC Motor Control

In an AC motor control unit, the frequency and amplitude of the input signal are varied to control the motor speed. AC controllers are commonly used in induction motors where the motor can be driven without the need for brushes, thereby reducing the mechanical complexity. The alternating current creates a magnetic flux in the motor stator, thereby inducing motion in the motor rotor.
