Sapphire Flame Retardant has been successfully tested according to SANS 10177 Part 9 - “Fire testing of materials, components and elements used in buildings.” and meets BS 5852 Part 2 and EN 13 501-1: Small-scale burning characteristics of building materials: ignition flame (not just a smoulder/cigarette burn test), flame spread and heat contribution for 10 minutes with no ignition or flame spread.This is a rigorous flame retardant test for fabric and for many combustable materials 

FiremanBrand™ is a SANS Tested and was introduced as a welding blanket to protect the upholstery, rubber moldings, glass windows and finished sprayed areas from grinding sparks and welding splatter and stored as emergency fire blankets in panel beating workshops.

Non-toxic welding/fire blanket which does not contain fiberglass nor asbestos

Can withstand temperatures of above 850deg.c without deteriorating or hardening for short periods
